WORK WHEELS FITMENT 2ndではカリフォルニア🇺🇸よりI Love Tanoshiの@wen_huang01氏が来日し、ブース出展をして頂けました🎪.
It has been a couple of months since knowing I would attend Work Fitment 2 2018, and still a lot to do and a lot to plan for. I did not know what to expect and was very anxious about traveling across the globe to a different country to attend and participate in an event. I didn’t even know the language! So, anxious indeed. But i mustered up the courage and invested the money for the inventory for the event and went for it! No risk, no reward! I have always heard that you miss 100% of the shots you do not take. So, I had the rock and I had to take a shot, right?!
I arrived a week prior to the event for other Business - Mastermind. I had meetings daily before and after the event for many of the manufacturers that we distribute for. But my mind was on the event. How would it go? Is it worth the trip and investment? What if I don’t sell anything or what if, what if, what if…..I finally got my spiralling under control and said, “Fuck it! Whether I do well or not, I am going to give it my all and just push forward.”
I purchased my airfare and my JR pass and booked my hotel stay. I arranged meetings for business and got a schedule down. All the while I was making new inventory just for the event.
I sent the inventory to Japan ahead of my visit since it would require too much to check in as luggage and off I went!
The morning of the event, I was even more anxious and nervous. I was in a foreign land and didn’t speak the language with a good amount of inventory I have invested.
Once I arrived to the event I was greeted with nothing but smiles and friendly faces and helpful people. I could not have done this without a lot of the help from everyone involved. The event was a go! I saw some familiar faces and right away the feeling of warmth and good times filled me.
The event kicked off with a bang. And then the booth started get very busy! I was a little overwhelmed at first, but got into a groove once I got everything organized. Luckily I had some good help with translating, promoting, and making change for all the purchases. I am so grateful for the assistance.

I had a chance to walk around the event and the cars were really well put together! Met some of the owners and got a chance to choose a couple of the cars that I liked for some giveaways!
This is only my second time in Japan, first was Tokyo Auto Salon in January, and got a chance to meet the locals and see how the enthusiasm for cars are universal. Good times, good people, Great event! I would come again without hesitation for next year...if they will have me.
Thank you to all that were involved to make this event happen and all those that attended. I have made great connections that I will try to continue to foster. Maybe soon, I can bring my own squad and everyone can have a good time. Till next year!
